Overview

Star is a “point & print” software package designed for traffic engineers who carry out short or long term data studies. Star is manufacturer independent like C2 and can produce fast data analysis for most popular traffic recorders (new recorders can be added on request).

Designed with a user friendly interface, star provides quick single click access to file data and reports. The program does not import data into a database but instead uses a database to hold references to files. This facilitates the quick display of information from data files that are resident on the computer.

Up multiple studies can be processed as well as 2 dimensional studies where each dimension can contain up to twenty bins of data. An important feature of Star is that it can be driven from macro routines written in Microsoft® Excel™ allowing Star to analyse data and place it straight in to user defined spreadsheets.

Star is a proven a reliable product that gives concise reports and very high speeds. Files from different sites and different recorder types can all be placed in the same folder and Star will quickly analyse and present the data.

Star now fully supports PVR data and allows for creation of user defined bins.
